Just got back from living there.

Most people have covered the good points.

Casuarina is the best and only really decent place for a bit of shopping.

Dont skip the Croc Cove and the Jumping Croc's because they really are amazing creatures and you will enjoy the experience.

Litchfield will be perfect during June and is a excellent tourist spot and a great spot to have a swim in the waterfalls and take some great shots.

Kakadu if you can be bothered getting out there.

Mindil markets on a Thursday evening are very good.

Berry Springs is good for a swim although nothing compared to Litchfield.

There is heaps of Pubs in Mitchell street to enjoy especially at that time of year. Tap Bar, Monsoons, Wisdom, The Vic are all decent.

Enjoy, it is a wonderful place.

Been trying to think of more things.

The go-kart track at Hidden Valley is awesome. They have twin engine go-karts and the track is a decent size. Its right behind Coonawarra Naval Base.

And try and catch a game of footy at TIO stadium (formerly Marrara Cricket Ground - MCG)

Theres also my old stomping ground Coonawarra Naval Base which is mostly residential, a RAAF and Naval base too.

Just got back from Darwin (on Friday) and actually stayed on base while I was there, my cousins husband works in Avionics (blackhawks and stuff)

Although it's nice and green I actually don't rate Darwin myself, even though I was born there. It's not a place I'd visit if I didn't have a reason to go there.

Croc jumping was brilliant though, got the best pic (which is on my facebook for anyone that happens have access to me*)

Crocasaurus is good, Fanny Bay gaol is also good as well as the springs.

Otherwise I reckon it's as boring as batshit.

PS: If you can get to Katherine Gorge - do it, so serene and beautiful...too bad you have to go through the dump of a town to get there.

Yeah, it was flooded last week from the monsoonal rain which is why we got to use the open boat and not the closed in one (hence the better photo) This is how close they got to the side of the boat

Might get lucky.

Darwin have a new side in the QAFL which consists of the best NTFL players and a few others which plays during the regular footy season. They play Home games at TIO and 3 or 4 in Alice Springs

Debut year next year.

At the Wildlife Park they used to let you hold the baby crocs. Dont know if they still do. They tape there mouths shut. I did it when i was 6 or 7. Crapped myself but the photo was pretty cool.
