Dare I proffer the concept that vocabulary in common use varies with social strata or location, too, like drinking and gambling behaviour...
The words I use are usual parlance where I live and most of the new words listed herein are unheard in that realm. ;)

Many people chose to 'chillax' these days so I hear....
Back in the 80's we relaxed, in the 90's we chilled but these days we do a combo of the both....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I use that word frequently in my academic articles. Last year I wrote a chapter for a book, and the word "thus" appeared in the text 18 times, according to a quick grep of the document source. I'm in engineering/scientific research.

I hate it. It's often used by politicians and other spin doctors e.g. "We're hoping for positive outcomes from this initiative"

The word outcome is sufficent.
An outcome is the total result, the final product of something and can encompass a number of eventualities.

This one annoys me too, as well as structures and processes, especially in the sporting context of getting the right structures and/or processes right - seems to me like being satisfied with wherever you end up, as long as we've got those in place who cares if we don't end up winning the flag.

I hate the 'new' phrase when you are in a meeting and someone says "we'll take that offline"

In other words we will form a sub-committee to over see the committee that was formed to oversee the board.

Yep. :D Since I started going to the local footy I've never been able to take as much of an interest in AFL as in the past. That hands-in-the-back crap is awful too. Toughen up, AFL!
