I'm vaguely interested in the tennis result and the results of the AFL games but not enough to sit there and watch them.
Finding out afterwards will do for me.

I will be sleeping more than likely. But if it was England vs. Australia in the soccer i might be interested. You never know what you might see on the pitch.

Definatly watching the Aussie take on the septics in the real 'football' the game where you use only your foot/feet.

Important game in the lead up to the greatest sporting event in the 'universe'.

One day soccer players will develop their basic motor skills to use their feet and their hands which most humans are able to manage by the age of 8-9...

backwards sport
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Popularity doesn't make something right

500 years the popular opine around the known world was that the world was flat, then one day the world became enlightened. One day the world will wake up and see soccer for what it is, a mere recreational pursuit.

Honestly mate that argument is simply laughable....One of the 1st things a baby does is to clasp a finger or something with his or her hands.Humans minds are designed to grab with the hands, it is the most basic of the basic instincts.Try standing down the local park and having a ball kicked to you from 40 m away at chest height and get it to the ground at your feet and under control without using your hands. It's a masterly skill that requires much training and at the International level every player does time and time again without a miss.Picking up an oval shaped ball with the hands is cave-man stuff .
It is your call if you think the game is backward .Just as it is mine to call what we call Aussie Rules insignificant.

If I can wangle a web feed for the Socceroos game (I'm assuming it's not on FTA?) I aim to be watching that and 'Our Sammy'
"A no vote from any club means there is some sort of risk involved in our entry into the competition not working," Steven Trigg.

As I've said before, in my teens I played Soccer as goalie for a while, and enjoyed playing.
But I find it incredibly tedious to watch and can see how the frustration boils over as crowd violence in those who can't read, and therefore don't take a book to the match with them.. ;)

LOL

Every appendicular skill in isolation is easy. When you need to combine the two "upper" and "lower" is when it becomes difficult. Axial and appendicular skills are easier to do than to seperate appendicular skills.

Chesting and kicking, pfft, my South American coach taught me that at the age of 10. South Americans have a far greater appreciation for the all the skills of soccer than the Anglo based coaches. It ain't ******* difficult

Add the difficulty of the relatively unpredictable oval shaped ball compared to the round ball and no uestion which is the more skilfull or difficult.

Soccer, good recreational pastime for teaching basic motor skills, nice and easy for young kids. When you reach maturity you need something more taxing to challenge you. I know I did...
