I went to a pizza bar one night and ordered a pizza with added pineapple
with no olives and no bacon, it was supposed to cost from memory $9-00
and was charged $9-50.
I queried the 50 cents extra out of curiosity and was shown on the menu
any extra toppings cost 50 cents.
I said shoulnt I be paying $8-50 when you took of the 2 ingredients I
wanted off?
They said no, but I still used to go back there.
Strange business ethics.

Another time Mighty Tiger ordered a pizza and the girl asked him if he
wanted it cut into 4 pieces or eight....MT79 said cut it into four pieces
please Im on diet!!!

I don't know if it's my voice, my face, my demeanor - or what.
But, at least once every few times I go to McDonalds when it's busy - they "forget" me.

And I'm not one to complain -I usually wait because I know they're busy sometimes.

Once though, I ordered my food and they said that will be a few minute wait.

I waited 60 minutes.

Now yes, I knew after 10 minutes that they'd forgotten/lost the order, I'm not silly.

But I thought I'd see how long I could sit there before they realised. I had the Advertiser so I read that, did the crossword etc.

Eventually I walked up and said "Is my order ready yet?" I looked at my watch and added "It was umm .... 61 minutes ago".

It took them a while to realise that it was not done. In fact, the girl who took my order had a break and came back in that time. I ended up getting my meal for free, and a few deserts. Didn't really care - it was just a bit of fun (and I was bored).

Doesn't the Pancake Kitchen also have a surcharge on Sundays? I used to go there for pancakes & coffee after doing the Saturday night drag shift at the HJs on Hindley St, years ago...

I should add that once the Pancake Kitchen forgot my order, and the last time I went there the coffee was unpalatable, but on the whole the joint ain't bad.

On the topic of surchages on public holidays, Pizza Hut add 10% for their food on public holidays, which is understandable. They also charge the surcharge on "Easter Saturday", which as you'd know, isn't a public holiday. As Pizza Hut aren't silly, they'd know this too, and therefore wouldn't pay their staff public holiday rates, but they charge the customer public holiday rates. Being a busy day for them, theyd be making a shitload out of this little scam.

I went to Hungry George (is that what its called?) in Hindley St a few weeks back on a Sunday. I was the only one there at the time, I was quite surprised when the guy working there stuffed up my order. I got to keep the food he gave me when he stuffed up, plus my original order, plus an extra can of coke and chips. I thought, sweet, not a bad deal. Not so, the food was shit. Chips were really good though.

If you're ever looking for a Mexican place at the Bay, I can thoroughly reccomend Monte's on Partridge St. The one at Holdfast shores is also of high standard.

Ohh forget it) informed me that she wanted the $1 or $2 spring rolls with every order over $20, so I ordered them for her and noticed the charge was $6.50 (or thereabouts) ... Upon querying it the lass said, "Oh no the special is only for deliveries" ... WTF?? A delivery would cost them more I thought, but as the service and food always appeals to our tastebuds I didn't arc up ... And just out of interest, the Macca's establishment next door has the LONGEST wait in the drive-thru I've ever experienced ... 3 times in a row my meals took 20+ minutes to arrive after ordering, suffice to say haven't been back since.
