It is nice to be back in Adelaide today after a hectic week staying on the east coast as a guest of my lady friend's connections.

It started at Mt Coot-tha in Brisbane then progressed to Noosa, Brunswick Heads, and Byron Bay, finally resting up in a Penthouse at Broad Beach on the beach front. One of the the two penthouses in top (the 3 bedroom one facing the beach) is owned by a friend and was available for a few days between tenants so we went there with him: http://www.boulevardnorth.com.au/

A fun but hectic lifestyle - it was great for a week but tiring with all that being buffeted while body surfing and drinking all that wine - not to mention enduring the heated pool and spa on the grounds

I'm now glad to be back in my usual more relaxed environment.

A very relevant thread for me, I holidayed up in the Gold Coast last year and fell in love with the place, I know we always love where we spend holidays but I genuinely wanted to move there.
We just returned from my daughter's state cricket tournament in Brisbane and my love for Queensland has grown even more, my son is keen to move with me but my daughter gets upset when it's brought up, I'm contemplating requesting a transfer through work who have a plant in Yatala up there which is between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
It's a huge move but something that I feel that I need to do.

The shitty thing about Queensland is the Queenslanders.

And everyone's in a rush.

I loved the climate, the surroundings and there's so much more to do there.
I also feel that there's nothing here for me and could do with a fresh start in life.

If the mountain won't come to McQueen then McQueen must go to the mountain.
