They are good there.
Mind you, THREE times I've gone there and asked for a half chicken and chips and got 1/4!
And the crap 1/4 as well :(

When you drive past Blair Athol there is a Red Rooster and a Chicken
Chef within 500 meters, guess which shop has the most customers. :?:
RR gives you 20 odd french fries chips, CC gives you abou 50 odd thick
and real chips.

that Chicken Chef is the best C&C shop in Adelaide. imo.

I remember it from the early '80s. They had a promotion aligned with the E.T. movie. The Hungry Jacks at Edwardstown was originally Red Rooster IIRC. I don't reakon the chain lasted more than a few months.

A song for mally..and all Red Rooter customers?

Postby Rik E Boy » Thu Jan 25, 2007 1:27 pm

Mally did a bad bad thing (The Red Rooster Song)*
to the tune of Baby did a bad bad thing by Chris Isaak.

mally did a bad bad thing, mally did a bad bad thing.
mally did a bad bad thing, mally did a bad bad thing.
You ever get the munchies so much you thought that any chook would do?
Yeah I thought so.

You ever tried when you were pissed to find the local chook shop?
But couldn't do so.
You ever stagger in to Red Rooster and bought that shit anyway?
mally did a bad bad thing, mally did a bad bad thing.
mally did a bad bad thing, Feel like Fries yeah, feel like Fries yeah.

You ever scratch your head and wonder how they stuffed up your meal?
That's what you get bro.
You ever close your eyes you when you step apon that bathroom scale?
That lying so and so.
It hurts so bad when you finally know just how high, high, high it will go.

mally did a bad bad thing, mally did a bad bad thing.
mally did a bad bad thing, feel like Fries yeah, feel like Fries yeah.
Ohh. feel like Fries yeah! Feel like Fries yeah!
Ohh. feel like Fries yeah! Feel like Fries yeah!

( guitar solo )

mally did a bad bad thing, mally did a bad bad thing.

regards,

REB

At least it was open longer than the Hungry George's in City Cross :)

The "chain" is owned by the people who "ran" Golden Chef (and also own Quik'n'Fresh).
