When you tell a customer you're shutting at 3.30pm at 2pm....conversation ends. They call back at 3pm, say they're at Glen Osmond Rd (Im at Regency Park), and say they're on their way....now I have to wait around for them while everyone else gets to go home early.

The Woolworths deli department.

Me: Can I have 200g of bacon pieces please
Deli chick: *gets order and puts in on scales* " Is 280g ok?
Me: No, if I wanted 280g I would have asked for it

They do this every time, deliberately put in too much so that they'll get the extra $$ when people can't be stuffed saying no.

if it's 10g-15g over, I don't usually worry about it.

Having worked in a service deli during my UNI years I think otherwise. Nine out of ten employees couldn't give a stuff about sales, only the manager would have set targets.

Nothing used to be worse than the tight asses who crack the sh1ts over 10 grams or 20cents too much (not saying you are one of these people) when they ask for say 250grams of sliced meat.

Yeah Id hate to deal with the nitpickers, as I said I normally couldn't give a stuff its 20g over but when they pile on almost 100g more it just shows they either don't listen or they don't give a shite.

I wonder how they feel about me...
I tend not to buy by weight or buy the thinly shaved stuff on display, but to say, smiling sweetly, "I'd like some of that Pork - 10 slices set at 1.5 thank you."
The staff seem friendly enough in response, or perhaps they are good actors.

If you are motivated and educated by your leader then the little things won't bother you.... Even staying back a bit to help out.

Lisa is being difficult but.... ;)

Are they Going to say "Big Boy" McEvoy every time he gets the ball today.

If I wanted dickhead commentary I would tune into Brayshaw, Lyon and the merry band of self appreciation society where the play is merely a foot note to those nobs trying to out do each other with there dumb shit call.

I would love a good football call ala Dennis Commetti with occasional appropriately placed hints of humour.
