Told him I wasn't happy with the marketing spiel and that all it does is dot point - it doesnt' SELL the house so I re-wrote it - he's cut and paste it without even proof reading it (still 10x better than what he had there but bloody lazy nonetheless)

In the meantime, I've lowered my price by about $15k because he seemingly can't do his job.

Bloody.useless. :?

Get another agent!

Yes! I ran into this issue once selling a house at West Lakes. The agent had been trying to talk me down to offers rather than talk the offers up.

I told that agent to take his sign down and contact me if he had a realistic buyer until our 3 month contract was finished.
Then I got a new agent and put it back on the market - and got my price within a month at less advertising cost.
The successful agent was Elders at Grange

Yeah change agents is best bet, although presumably would have to wait until after the 3rd month, as I think most contracts signed between seller and agent are for 3 months?

They also 'celebrate' it in the UK.....

Hilarious that the lovers of this have been trying to hang shit on the haters.

I hadn't thought about it.
Halloween has not been part of Australian culture, until recently when the big shopping interests decided they needed another thing to promote sales as Mother's Day, Father's Day, et cetera, were not generating enough spending.

I have no problem with the traditional Scottish form, but, of course, it is the US style commercialised beyond recognition form that we got.
They'll probably try to get us into "Thanksgiving" celebrations in the next few years... ;)

Building being refurbished, looks like bar moving to ground floor. Adelaide Uni ignoring questions about the status of live music in the future but happy to answer anything else

The bar was opened when I was still at Uni, I think, but I've never been in it.
(The Bot was more convenient for Med students.)

It is the commercialisation of it that annoys me - clearly just a dead spot in the shopping calendar so it gets pushed hard by the retailers

She be ok. Loaded up on pain killing tablets she's in a better mood this morning.

Although me working away during the week being home weekends but, Playing golf Sat mornings then Cricket Sat Arvos and spending most Sundays in bed then leaving Sunday night isn't helping me get any brownie points that's for sure!
