Do you mutter that under your breath?

I know it's good for the economy, but I'm not the slightest bit interested in motor sports.

There are plenty of folks who are though...

Yes it is good for the state economy. Plenty of pissed people looking for food.

Coming into the city from the East, Clipsal has never really affected me. Usually everyone forgets on the Monday about the restrictions so it's a bit of a gridlock, but it seems to ease in the next couple of days as people adjust by leaving a bit earlier.

Yes, it's good for the economy.

Yes I did

and I'm not a fan either - i've never been.

I just make sure I stay well away from the east during this time.

One year I made the mistake of making a chiro appointment on the Thursday that clipsal started. My Chiro is on the corner of St Bernards and Montacute roads so i go home via Greenhill Road to get to him.

It took me 53 minutes to get from work to Fullarton Road.

Lesson learned. ;)

Can't win, ol' SA.

Put on a month of action like we have now, Fringe, Clipsal, Adelaide Cup, Soundwave, Futures...........and 'coz takes 15 minutes more to get home our world falls apart.

Yes, it's an insult to the 47 people who go to the Adelaide Cup.

Normally takes me 5 mins to get to work in the CBD, took me 5 mins and 30 seconds this morning. Damn Clipsal.

This sounds a bit OTT by Port Adelaide-Enfield Council shutting down popular pinball machine arcade GameRoom Essentials at Gepps Cross

A POPULAR games arcade that attracted hundreds of people a week to play classic video games and pinball machines from the 1980s and 90s has been shut down by council building inspectors.

GameRoom Essentials at Gepps Cross was visited by council inspectors who deemed the building was a fire risk and not suitable for the business.

Owner Danny Daly is devastated that this week he was forced to close the business he built from scratch after he was made redundant from Holden.

After a tough start — including the shattering blow of having $30,000 worth of pinball machines stolen by thieves — the business was growing in popularity, regularly attracting hundreds of people a week and being listed on major travel website Trip Advisor as a “top Adelaide attraction”.

Mr Daly said he offered to comply with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield inspectors’ requirements but was told “don’t waste your time and money”.

Really enjoyed my one visit to gameroom essentials six weeks or so ago. Granted it wasn't the world's greatest venue, but you'd imagine something could have been negotiated.

Haven't had an opportunity to get out there but had heard good reviews.
Clearly someone at council level wants him gone.
I remember reading an article about how the popularity of this just kept growing.
disappointing by the council

If he gets enough social media exposure and maybe a radio station or tv network get hold of this story, he may survive.

Apparently there is a World Cup on in our own backyard and the AFL pre-season competition has kicked off. Well, you'd never FOXing know if you didn't cough up $100+ a month for the privilege.

This is the worst possible outcome for the World Cup. February in Australia, a World Cup going on in all corners of the country and we've had two games of cricket on in 3 weeks.

**** you Foxtel, **** you Cricket Australia. By the time the pointy end comes around I won't give a shit who is a chance and who isn't, I'll not have seen any!

Oh, and the cricket we do get to see is crammed in between the most ludicrous, over the top, Julian Clary inspired graphics. What's with that? I know who is batting, I know who is bowling, take that shit down when the bowler is running in!
