Parents that expect their kids to get the same rights as other kids when they never train, turn up to games when they feel like and then wonder why they are batting near the bottom or don't bowl early.

Their rate of progression slows considerably too, it pisses me off that I have to leave work early, travel past about 8 clubs that my son could be playing at to take trainings and then have to change my plans of what we were going to do because of lack of attendance and no messages.

The same parents every season, they have rapid improvement then don't come to training for a while and start bowling wides during games and can't score runs. It's not all about winning but I like to gauge my success as a coach on how much my lesser skilled kids improve, I have a unique coaching style but it's generally effective.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my 12 year old brother on the weekend.

He say he wants to play club soccer, but Mums not to sure if he'll stick with it, so I had a word to him. When I asked him if he played school soccer, he said "nah, they don't want me on the team."

The reason he said was because when they tried to teach him something, he said "I know how to play, I don't need anyone to teach me."

Then I had to sit him down and tell him not to be a wanker, and that after 13 years of senior footy, I still need to train, coz I know f**k all compared to the coaches. And if he does end up going out to play club soccer, to listen.

We then went out the front and he booted the ball over the neighbours roof trying to pass it to me.

He's shithouse!

He's pretty much what I use to gauge kids these days, so I assume he's not alone in his arrogance.

I dare suggest we were never that bad back in our day...and that we wanted to learn new skills and improve that we would pay attention for the majority of the time

A friends daughter is very heavily involved in leading a "team", she's currently sporting a Range Rover, but expects to be able to lease a $150k car by the end of the year. She, last month, received a cheque for the month, $30,000.

Is this the first time in human history that a fruit juice has been that expensive?

For every person making money, there's shitloads they've "recruited" that are losing money. I see it as a very selfish and dishonest business model.

ACN operates through a similar pyramid model.

I went along to one of their info sessions held at a mates house and was pretty interested until I did some more research, and subsequently bailed.
