and also depends on the parents of the dog. I had a pitbull and it was absolutely fine it was even better around young kids. I've now got a staffy who is absolutely fine with kids especially my 10 year niece, but I'd hate to see what he did if someone jumped the fence, doesn't take too well to people walking down the side fence.

I had a staffy that was the friendliest, most placid dog ever. He put up with my 6 year old brother being rough with him. He'd just lay there and cop it. Happiest dog ever.

Now the Chihuahua....that little bastard was crazy.

Yeah, just treat them like one of the family (coz they are). I think if you leave them outside and dont interact with them except for feeding, etc, they are more likely to turn out bad.

I sook my pets so much. I dont think thats a bad thing either.

My ones were outside dogs, they didn't get spoilt, just didn't get kicked in the guts. They'd just lay down near our feet when we sat outside having a drink or a ciggy.

No they are obsessed with animals and absolutely love both our dogs to death.

Rather than kick the dog, being kids they may try and ride it like a horse, razz it up or just plain and simply annoy the dog.

My girls are only 4 and 2 and im always with them when they are with the dogs so they play sensibly but whose to say what they would do if i wasnt there.

Spot on whufc, reality is all dogs have the ability to bite regardless what some dog owners may think.

You make a fair point. Didn't have a crack last week with the split nature of the round, which made it hard to put money on. Team selections tonight etc, so will definitely be having a crack this week.
