Made the mistake of flying blind a few weeks ago while staying in town, we walked around looking for a place to eat while it was pissing down but everything we wanted to look at was packed, it was a Saturday night after the Port vs Saints game.

I gave in due to hunger and stopped at the Woolshed, I must admit the food was excellent and well priced, I had a steak cooked to perfection and the missus had salt and pepper squid which was very nice also, the drinks were well priced to boot.

We had to wait in the undercover laneway for a table to begin with, it was a downfall as some early drunks were in there and the missus was dressed up as we were heading to the 2KW Bar from there so I had to sit there and behave myself for a bit listening to dickheads.

I couldn't believe what some of the chicks get around with nowadays, I'd say the Woolshed toilets would have a few stories to tell.

Anyone have any recommendations for places to eat at and clubs to go to in Surfers? Heading up there in a couple of weeks.

Head to the beach and wander into the nearest surf club. Can't go wrong! (For food, not clubbing)

Northcliffe SLSC, just south of the Surfers main drag, but walking distance. Outstanding food at a very reasonable cost and always seems to be happy hour at the bar.

Also have Hooters up there, we stayed at the hotel above the restuarant so had to go!

Yep, Hooters got a look in last year when I was there. Food was ok without being great but the overpriced fare was well and truly made up for with the scenery.
Northcliffe SLSC did awesome brekky, great window seats overlooking the beach

Thanks guys. could only get 4 days off work so we're leaving on the Friday and coming back Wednesday so we wanna get out and about and also relax.

Fortunately we have a plant not far from Surfers so I can go and visit to claim the trip on tax.

Melbas is magnificent and pretty much almost across the road from where you may be staying.

Yamagen at QT is fantastic if you like Japanese and they cook everything right in front of you. (or you can just choose the normal restaurant too)

Skypoint at night turns into a cruisy cocktail lounge but still have meals available - best view in the GC! https://www.skypoint.com.au/seventy7-cafe-bar/all-day-dining

Awesome, which place would you recommend staying at? They both have their pro's and cons.

Brooklyn Depot! Next to the bus station in Surfers, behind the back entrance to Melba's. American food (burgers, ribs, wings etc) but done really, really well.

Probably Breakfree, it's almost right on Cavill Ave so a very short walk to everything including the beach, the other one is down towards the Casino a bit.
Even though they've got reno's going on, i wouldn't think you'd hear too much as most of the noisy work would be complete by now.
