Wont happen unfortunately mate, not a huge journey though, make sure you grab a slice of pizza on your way out.

The $1.99 hot dog and bottomless drink is a good deal too, as long as you do it prior to going in.

I can't believe how the asians sit at the onion dispenser winding it until it's empty into a bag to take home, i know announce loudly what they are doing so everyone looks and they take off in embarrassment.

So Friday night I pick mine out, Saturday morning pick his out. Get to the pub and I've got a couple of scratchings, make the changes and put them both in.

Boon - 15 points.

$5 per week at the Hendon. Winner takes home 75% of the pool 2nd 25% of the pool. ( or split it if two are even etc ).

Used to be much bigger, some weeks 1st place was taking home $250+ a year or two ago.

It's good value, you've got an interest in 10 races for the afternoon ( well, the first 3 or 4 anyway, if you haven't got 6-8 points in the 1st 4 races it's often too little too late. ) for $5 and you only need to jag it once a year or so for it to pay for itself.

They have the same at the Halfway Hotel every Saturday. Between that and $4 pints all day Friday the place rocks early weekends.
Horses bore the bejesus out of me but it was cool seeing how happy the winner was last week.
