Some good developments around the place at the moment. Hopefully they all get off the ground and the construction industry gets a bit of work rolling.

Lools like the Bunnings project at Windsor Gardens will get off the ground. The construction project will create some much needed work for the construction industry.

Yep, that's a goer. The AMNS ( Adelaide Medical Nursing School ) on North Tce is roaring ahead, some works out at DSTO, 115 King William St, Vue Apartments....there's plenty on the go at the moment and quite a few decent sized jobs sitting in the tender process. A few more Aldi stores popping up as well.

Bohem Development, U2 on Waymouth, Queen Adelaide on North Tce, Codan Redevelopment at Mawson Lakes, Regis Burnside Aged Care Facility....all in the pipeline too.

Thank god that Bunnings will finally get off the ground, it's a bloody eyesore at the minute - so it will definitely be a massive bunnings? I heard whispers that it was held back because Aldi was interested.

Held back due to a legal challenge by a neighbour. Possibly a business, I dont actually have hat info. But they were challenging in court the development approval from the council saying that the Port Adelaide Enfield Council got it wrong. The courts ruled in favour of the Council and hence Bunnings so it will start soon.

The phrase super Bunnings was used.

Speaking of Aldi apparently the redevopment of tbe Gillis Plains Shops includes an Aldi.

A mate of mine lives in Windsor Gardens and says the same as you about the Bunnings site being a massive eyesore. I can see what you guys are saying as I drive past that way a bit, basically and old broken down shop with a Bunnings attached.

It isn't a full blown Bunnings like @ Woodville or Mile End. More like the one at Churchill Road.

Aldi, as far as I can see, aren't building one there.

St Agnes to open first. Work has started on the one at TTP too.
3 stores on a 8km stretch of NE Rd doesn't really make sense to me

The Windsor Gardens Bunning's is going to be massive. There's 3 levels (one being an underground carpark) from memory.

The legal challenge I believe was from the property owner that owns the building, next to where the new Bunning's is currently.

Bunning's are currently trying to dominate the market by increasing locations to try & stop Masters stealing market share.

It does have under ground parking and it does have a mezzanine ( for Administration ) so in essence it is 3 levels but it won't be as big as the "big" ones around SA.

Ah, I see. I only looked at it quickly.
I did a bit on the Gawler Bunnings & it certainly made that look small.
