It is. too many man hours required to remove the usable bits then sell it off for bugger all cash just easier to smash it up and take it away. I agree not very sustainable building practice but time is money

Just to update progress, a big hole there now 4-5m deep. Some plumbing and foundation work seems to be in progress. Interestingly there looks like a huge concrete rainwater tank is being installed underground. Still a long way to go.
