One thing I would always recommend against is going to the same high school that your mother or father teaches at. I went to a different school but my sister went to the one my dad teaches at. She never wagged a day in her life because Dad kept tabs on her whereabouts by checking the enrolment sheets, she got dumped by her boyfriend in Year 9 because Dad paid him out in maths class for going out with her, and one night some of Dad's students came past and egged our house and he ran out wearing nothing but his undies. The students were delighted, they were like 'Cor, look what Mr _______'s wearing!' My sister didn't want to go to school the next day, but she had to because she couldn't get away with wagging.
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

I dont really fit into any of the choices.
Mind u most of my time in high school I was a history geek except for Australian history found that boring for some reason.
In year 12 (I did a funny year 12 it was easier than the normal year 12)Economics(not home economics ;) ) ,which I picked up in yr12 .My teacher told me I was going to fail after the first term .Went from a D to a final B.Seems IIRC I couldn't get what he was teaching into my head .But the end of year exams he gave out old exams as examples .Now for some unknown reason they were the only things that got into my head .
Lucky for me most of the 1979 economic exam were made up with a lot of the previous years questions.Sometimes Mickyj can have an almost photographic memory for details not always ;) And I got the highest grade for the exam should have seen MR***** face .
And what was the deal with CRAFT u know wood work metal work plastics.that subject has haunted me since 1975 I still get chills when I think about it .And has given me a phobia around tools
And one sadistic wood work teacher from Underdale will never leave me !!

Our whole class (6 students) struggled through Yr 12 Biology with all the DNA/RNA stuff. Every Monday the teacher started the lesson with "we need to have a chat" and then go through the class asking what we were struggling with...

until the exams...which somehow we all fluked and got Bs and Cs (a B for me)...and i thought i made most of the answers up because they were mostly essay questions, which are a lot harder to fluke than guessing A, B, C, or D...

our teacher couldnt believe it after the year he'd been through with us...

Senior Girls Footy Coach ;) for obvious reasons..

Bit of a clown

We only had 20 odd in our year from the start of yr 11 and were mostly all really good friends.

Worked hard and got all my work done for the week on monday, then stuffed around all week.

I dont think my PE/Community Studies teacher liked me, and it made it interesting because i was playing seniors at North Haven and he was a junior coach at Portland...at the time we were Div 4 and Portland were Div 5, which i reminded him of EVERY lesson. Still got straight As in both subjects.

Bit of a bully (but only to the stupid Yr 10s that thought they were ''Gangsta"...little wiggas piss me off...

Really miss school. Was awesome to see all my friends every day...and by Yr 12 had made friends with most of the teachers.

My old man used to always say school years are the best of your life
Oh how right he was!

same here! my old girl used to tell me anytime i whinged about school that it was the best days of your life! to which my response was generally along the lines of "pfft......" wish i listened to her!

I got into a little trouble for building a primitive electromagnetic cannon in the Physics lab in about 1960.
The teacher objected to the dent in the wall and suggested that firing a steel ruler around was a little dangerous.
I didn't think saying that's why I'd pointed it towards the wall would help...

Then there was the triammoniated iodine incident...

I didn't get caught for the mercaptans in a little bottle with a loose cap dropping in through a classroom window one though.
