Where did you get married? - 28.11.1998 St Lukes Anglican Church - Whitmore Square - the church band did a great version of Ava Maria and Amazing Grace tha was very moving and afterwards at the good 'ole Brahma Lodge Hotel in their function room (now dining room)

What was your 'wedding song'? - "Because you Loved Me" Celine Dion

Funny Story - My Mum thought it would be hilharious to write "Help" on one of my dh's soles of his shoes and "Me" on the Other so that when we knelt down in front of the crowd snickers could be heard amongst the guests... When I went ballistic at my DH his response was "Don't blame me, blame your Mother!" LOL

Another funny story from my wedding day is that the old priest (since deceased) kept referring to my husband as our street name ... to the day he died if anyone in the family wanted to pee him off they just bought this up!

My wedding was at St Marks Lutheran Church Mt Barker (nothing spectacular about it, but I've been going there since I was 4).

My wife was very late, apparently she was in the car ready to go and the in-laws were still getting their shit together.

Reception was at the Belair Country Club. Nice setting, reasonable per head price.

Our wedding song was Slow Motion by David Gray

Never been married but i plan to in next couple years and itll be on a beach somewhere in the Pacific.

My aunts wedding last year I think was intended to be a bit extravagent but really came across as cheap and trashy.

The ceremony was in some park on West Lakes Boulevarde. It was a real bogan wedding - right down to the V8 Commodores used as the wedding vehicles. She also did it during a Crows game, so Dad, my uncle and I were up the back during the ceremony hovering around my phone getting score updates. The reception was at the Lakes resort which was alright but some dodgy table placements saw me on a table with distant relatives and randoms. Highlight of the day was killing an hour in between at Westfield West Lakes where I scored season 3 of Acropolis Now for $13 (I have never seen it anywhere else for under $45)!

This was also one of the most pointless weddings I've been to as they've been together for about 15 years and have a couple of kids already!

What was your 'wedding song'? Come what May - Ewen McGregor & Nicole Kidman

Got married back on August 28th 2009 up in the Clare Valley...

Wedding was at St. Aloysius Church in Sevenhill...

Image

Reception was at the Clare Country Club in Connors Restaurant upstairs (my brother-in-law was working there at the time so it made sense and we got looked after)

Image

Our Wedding song was an oldie but a goodie:

BUT, this is my favourite ALL TIME photo from my wedding, I have it on my desk at work, as my screen saver and in my wallet. (sorry, can't find a bigger size of it)

We were lucky with the temparutre not being hot being in late August, but, at times, it felt like it was blowing 100km gale foce winds.

It was so windy during the service inside the church, the Priest even stopped the speaking a couple of times because you could hear the wind howling outside.

And when he was blessing the rings, the doors at the front entrance blew open with a all might BANG scaring the crap out of EVERYONE !!!

I'm not in this ball and chain yet, however I have a mate who is probably going to top the funny story in about two months time...:

Wedding ceremony "planned" for a nice Park here in Lincoln, everything looking beautiful, with the reception at the Hilton... Just about as "swanky" as Pt Lincoln gets...

And this could be what actually happens...

However, if his cricket side make the Grand Final, the reception will be in the footy clubrooms next to the B Grade grand final which is being played the same day, where he'll either bowl his overs out straight, and come straight in to get married in his whites, or quickly get out of the suit after the service to "pad up."

Absolutely the funniest thing I have ever heard, and I have to book the clubrooms next week just in case...

And obviously if he wins, then a/ the team gatecrashes the reception, or b/ he never gets there
