Heard there's a rumour going round that a decent sized building company (mainly based on the eastern seaboard) may pull out of SA in the foreseeable future.

This builder wouldn't happen to have head office in Melbourne would it? Yet another interstate builder who didn't want to understand the Adelaide market and try to 'impose' itself to SA and force Adelaide to accept the new way....

the casino redevelopment finally going ahead

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-07-26/e ... ed/8744090

that combined with the festival plaza redevelopment will be great for the city. That area is massively under utilised at the moment

Settlers Hotel had a quick refurb in the punting area last week, came up a treat.
If it was government work and funded it would have taken 6 months to get the job done, alas it was private and done in 2 days.

More exclusive gaming ( mainly poker etc ) area's for VIP's with reduced by in or bet sums will be a focus of the facility.

Will be very high end, might well be the most luxurious hotel in Adelaide.

Won't be poker. Poker makes the least of any games. But I was hoping for a slightly bigger poker room.
