We had a quote for some paving, retaining storm water for $11500 cash ... accepted the quote and had the work done, and the guy has come back and said we need to pay an extra $1200 for "variations". The thing is the dude who did the work is Mrs Jase's cousin.
My question is, if you accept the quote is that like a contract and that is all you have to pay...?

Sure is. Sometimes those there is extra work that needs to be doe and isn't seen until your in the middle of job. In saying that though he should of stopped shown you the problem and given you another quote to fix it. A no time should he go a head and do extra work and expect you to pay extra on top of your quote.

Since having to have time off work because of the surgery I had, the guy I share an office with is being a dick. He keeps telling our boss im not letting him know im having days off. Then today he claims I havent told him I have appointments at the RAH this morning when we had a long conversation about it last week.
I had to screenshot all our messages last week to prove to our boss that ive told him.
Gonna be interesting when I get to work after lunch.
