I also have a chuckle at this ad, as the young hoon reminds me of Jame 'Buffalo Bill' Gumb (villian from Silence of the Lambs).

'It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again'

The weekly Adelaide city council /North Adelaide councillors articles on Adelaide Now. This weeks is increased litter and graffiti possibly due too footy crowds and breaking parklands rules with advertising on the big screens outside.

I'd heard after the crows loss to Melbourne that the council was concerned about the "used needle" epidemic that was seriously threatening the car parks & streets surrounding the oval.
On further investigation it was revealed that they were only knitting needles....

I knew this would happen.

Local residents complaining over drunken bums hanging around their quiet streets after a football match at Adelaide oval , signs being ripped from walls and streets, graffiti everywhere. And I Quote " residents from the suburbs coming into our community " or something like that.

Typical North Adelaide Society

Fellow city councillor Sandy Wilkinson criticised the behaviour of some fans.

“They are people from the suburbs who may have a lower care factor about littering,” he said.

What a comment. How can someone be so far up their own arse. It makes me want to go and dump my rubbish out the front of his design business in North Adelaide.

I bet they are gladly revelling in the massive increase in patronage of all of the businesses along there.

I'm not sure they are.
I've always tried to live well away from business premises, even ones I had a financial interest in, unless they were farms...

Sounds like they used the same template as the residents of Williams Ave, Glenelg.

Was chatting to an O'Connell street shop owner last night that said so far they hadn't noticed a huge increase in trade from the footy. He put it down to the amount of food available at the oval, game times and the parking restrictions in the surrounding streets. Its not to say other businesses haven't benefited but maybe goes against the perception that it would be booming before and after games, early days though.
