There is a "Manage foes" function in User Control Panel. It works very effectively if you find your blood pressure continually rising

I enjoy reading others views.
Some is for comedic relief, some for verifiable information.

But I've had to really filter myself strictly lately because I find some posters are just peddling idiotic ramblings...just to be different!
Some less intelligent people out in the community actually believe these ramblings and enjoy the notoriety that comes with having a polar opposite opinion.

Flat earthers, tin foil hat wearers, victims of alien abduction, they're all out there!
Bloody funny but a little scary and sad at the same time.

I am at the point of just skimming over some of ThEsE StRaNge posters comments.

Name calling, demanding we click their links.... yeah, nah.

Go on Twitter for some supercharged postings and effwits
This place is a tranquil pond compared to that cesspool
But, be careful. Dont use your proper name. A mate of mine said something about Dan Andrews and is copping abuse on all of his media + somehow they got his mobile no and are sending him texts and crank calls

This is my take on things:

If I'm going to get worked up over what somebody I don't even know says on a faceless forum then I'd be thinking that I'm the one with the issue.

If you don't like what your reading, skim past, for all we know Apache could be 2 twelve year old girls winding up a bunch of middle aged blokes.

I think there's a little more to worry about in our lives than what happens on here.

Did you just date stamp and gender me?

How rude.

Totally agree, LM. I like to read this topic as find out good info, but just don't read what those couple of posters write at all anymore, so this works a treat. Scroll past as soon as see their name, easy fixed!

Why do people only read stuff that they like or agree with?
How do you educate or better yourself with that theory?
I enjoy reading some of the stuff on here I don’t agree with.

Apache has brought a different dimension to this thread.
Boring as bat shit if every one shares the same opinion.

That’s why this place is worse off without HH3, Morrell, Carey, BennyMacca etc.
They had different views which I enjoyed.
Each to their own though.

The "Foes" idea never worked for me, although certain posters shitted me to tears, every time they posted I couldn't help myself but see what stupid crap they'd written

It's like seeing flashing lights under a door and someone saying "do not enter".

Not that I've used it for awhile but it forced me to take a deep breath and remind myself not to get worked up and fire off a reply. Then I'd still read it....

You can alternative views. You can't have alternative facts. That's the difference.

I am not saying I don't like different opinions, and respect everyone has them.

Unfortunately, Apache is at a different level and the posts now are just ridiculous and trying to cause chaos.

Skip straight past them now!

Defining fact v fiction these days is getting harder and harder though.
The media publish that much crap you don’t know what to believe.

Geez mate if I only read stuff I agreed I'd be dumb as a squid!

Its all well and good to have differing opinions but saying things like
" the government are holding back treatment " and the like is just plain nonsense and needs to be called out as such.
Again, people who want to have a different view, solely, to get a reaction (trolls) have to accept getting hammered!

Granted, as Corona Man noted earlier the majority of us ( I would expect ) don't watch Studio 10 and The Project to get informed, we source it from numerous agencies and make up our own minds after consuming the information.

Those agencies, sources, are rarely from social media platforms and forums driven by people with like minded views to mine. Ie - anti-vaxxers source their anti-vaxx propaganda from other anti-vaxxers, not from clinical physicians.

If that’s what he thinks then I’ve got no problems with it.
I don’t agree with it but it makes for good/humorous reading.
