I haven't listened to KG and Cornsey for about 3 years now.

Well done to KG, let's hope the bickering in the paper's mellows out and KG can go off into a well due retirement in peace.

I also hope that FiveAA decide to go in a direction that may include the other 14 AFL clubs that exist outside this microcosm, and thereby bring back listeners to their station that have left in the past.

Good innings KG =D>

I couldn't put it better myself Zippy.

I carve my work day around leaving work at 4pm, sticking the headphones on, and listening to KG and Cornesy...I also time my drive to the footy each Saturday around listening to the Saturday morning sports show. KG is a BIG part of why I do this.

You need to have a good look at yourself if your life revolves around that bumbling fool.

I think that's a typo, they left out the word "a", between "KG's" & "Pain"

Whether you love him or you hate him KG has been great for footy & cricket ( sport ) in this state, he's very passionate about his state & wears it on his sleeve. Family & sport is his life & i'd say he's very appreciative of what 5AA has done for him in his time there, more so than his wife & daughter by the sounds of it, they are forgetting he's goin on 70 yrs of age, for god sake ( strike me pink ) the stations done all they could for him & rewarded him handsomely in his time ( fair dinkum ).
Maybe the money was too good & Sandra ( wife )will be missing that more than anything & maybe she's upset she has to put up with him around the house alot more!

I'm one of those who really enjoyed McDermott and Wildy over summer and I hope they get the gig. I'm not necessarily a fan of either individually but they work superbly as a team. Time for Cornesy to go as well. Phil Smyth for some reason is obviously being groomed at 5AA - he seems to pop up with special comments at all hours but he's relentlessly boring. Chris Dittmar's right wing posturing annoys the crap out of me when he fills in on brekky but he's not too bad on footy shows. If Rowey gets the gig then that will be the end of 5AA for me.

Id like some of the 20/1 for Phil Smyth that was quoted in the paper....would be the front runner IMO, gives a non footy perspective which the show needs and also gives someone in the Port corner, dont reckon they will go for a Crows supporter for balance

It's fair to say KG frustrated the hell out of me at times when he "just couldn't get it" however the world would be a much better place if more matched his humbleness and generosity.

I'm happier to look at the positives of his contribution to the SA sporting world rather than the negatives.

Well done old fella!

Would depend on how long he's contracted to MMM for.

I think Chris Dittmar would be the best fit, but again his contractual obligations to ch 7 may prevent it.

Its scary that KG himself thinks that Rowe could get the gig.

True, yet $$$ convinced him to move from 102, so maybe the right $$$ might see Kym at 1395?

Because he was out of contract, he won't be able to move if he's got a current contract.

It depends I suppose on what clauses are included in the contract, it is genrally accepted that if a radio dj has rating plumment that they are usually given the sack fairly quickly if someone better is available - say Nicole Hark for Amanda Blair for example. Yet it could well be that if a better offer is given that they too can walk from the station.
