Lots of theories getting around as to whether he is really dead or not.

Throwing him in the ocean, real strange move by america

Other questions being asked is that supposedly they knew about this compund since 2005 but choose just before an election to kill Bin Laden.

Also Bin Laden death announced on the same day as Hitlers

etc etc

Love a good conspiracy theory

IIRC from the intelligence they have released the building was not even built in 2005.

Plus 18 months is hardly close to an election.

Plus in 2005 the republicans held the white house, why wouldn't they have used it for the 2008 election (I know Bush and McCain weren't exactly best mates but still....)

Whoever thought that one up didn't think too hard.

Bin Laden's body was flown to the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier in the North Arabian Sea and then cast to the deep.
He was washed, wrapped in a white sheet, placed on a "prepared flat board" and "eased into the sea" within 24 hours of his death, in accordance with Islamic traditions.
While some have suggested that the burial at sea was so that supporters could not create a shrine for him, US officials said there was no land alternative because no country was willing to take the body.

Other questions being asked is that supposedly they knew about this compund since 2005 but choose just before an election to kill Bin Laden.

In August 2010, the courier unknowingly led authorities to a compound in the northeast Pakistani town of Abbottabad. The walls surrounding the property were as high as six metres and topped with barbed wire. No telephone or internet lines ran from the compound. It had all the hallmarks of a hideout built especially for Bin Laden. But since bin Laden never travelled and nobody could get onto the compound without passing through two security gates, there was no way to be sure.

Also Bin Laden death announced on the same day as Hitlers
1945 - Admiral Karl Doenitz succeeded Hitler as leader of the Third Reich. This was one day after Hitler committed suicide.etc etc

fair points, i wasnt agreeing with the theories just posting some that i have heard or read over the last 24 hours.

Got to say though i do find it funny that it was widely accepted Bin Laden was staying in caves around the Afghanistan/Pakistan border and being moved around to hide his cover.

Only to be found in a multi million dollar compound. Thats the greatest double bluff of all time.

OBL dead, but I see our Government and the MSM still love using fear to control the masses. Wonder if we'll get a new set of fridge magnets...

That Taiwanese animated news channel has really surpassed itself this time.

The video is slightly inaccurate. According to multiple reporters, bin Laden was shot in the head twice, and no lasers or urine were deployed.

Make sure you watch to the end when Osama gets his 72 virgins.

im with you, seems like a chess game going on.. we all know America is about politics but would they go as far as saying they killed him and this crap they chucked him out to sea on the same day.. im pretty sure if they killed him and a few others that other taliban would be around the area knowing who was inside that building at that time.. it wouldn't be a walk in the park to take his body out..

or if they did get him he is still alive and they a torturing the f out of him

in my eyes the war on terror has just begun and china is licking its lips

Unless we get to see the body etc, how do you really know? Maybe they just decided the charade had gone on long enough and gave up looking, saying he was dead?
What happens now in Afghanistan etc? Do they start pulling troops?
No. Nothing changes except a short spurt of extra terrorist activity in revenge.
I assume they are hoping that there is no one as charismatic with the fanatics who can step up and drive the terrorist process as well as he did, so there will be longer term benefit.
I'd have been inclined to just "disappear" him and admit nothing, but there are Presidential elections looming and local popularity may outweigh world safety.

Good old conspiracy theories...

As far as the "near election" ones go, I believe that Obama will sh!t it in regardless, so he wouldn't need to pull a stunt, so to speak...

The burial at sea is quite confounding though.

Rekon it makes perfect sense, they got their man and maintained the respect of the islamic world, except of course the "evil doers".....and prevented a shrine being built wherever he woulda got buried. Im all for conspiracy theories but this ones a sinch

Talking about conspiracy theories, what about the way the media and politicians have built up Usama to be the CEO of terrorist world wide. Its always been my understanding that he's only a figurehead, nothing more. Al Qeada itself isnt even an organisation. Al Qeade means "the base" in reference to the CIA database of names of terrorists. Its not an actuall organisation, only a loose term to represent many individual but like thinking groups. The way the media and politicians have twisted things to suit their agendas is the real conspiracy.

buried at sea so no shrine...dont believe they did it out of tradition or custom...fk that, he doesnt deserve anything like that.

i have been amazed at some of adelaide's and australia's reaction, most notably comments on adelaidenow and a few on here...just saddening to read...

great to celebrate in their own way, if we had 3000 ppl die due to planes crashing into the adelaide cbd, i'd think there would be a different sentiment.

time to be extra vigilant but i am ******* loving this!!! got that sucka!!!!! congrats to those seals and us and coalition forces.

AMERICA, FK YEAH!!!!!!
