Steve Bradburys Gold Medal at the Winter Olympics - "you gotta be in it to win it"!
March 30 1996 - Shane George and Peter McIntyre survive 11 overs to tie the Sheffield Shield Final and win the Shield. I was there and still got some footage on tape I think.
David Campese scoring a last gasp try at Landsdowne Rd in 1987 World Cup semi final.
Animals on the field of play - the piglets for Lockett and Gatting and that dog that invaded Croke Park in Aust v Ireland International Rules Game
The Chick who streaked at the MCG and wrapped her Carlton scarf around Bruce Doull!
The imposter from England who gets himself in official photo of Man U, walks out to bat for England and the like.. :D He actually adds something positive to the games I reckon!
Was it Herb Elliott or someone who stopped to help a fellow competitor that fell over in a final and then ended up winning the race?
Jesse Owens' performances in front of Hitler at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.
Anyone good enough to get an entry into a Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon.
Stuart O'Grady riding the 2006 Tour de France with broken ribs/collarbone from Day 2 and still finishing the race.
Anything involving Walter Lindrum or Eddie Charlton.
Pluggers point after the siren in the 1996 semi at the SCG to put Sydney into the GF.
The Toyata advertisements recreating great footy moments - especially Wayne Harms' effort!
Marcus Bagdiatis in the Australian Open in 2006 - such an entertainer.
Lets Elope - my favourite Horse of all time.
The Dash for Cash at Thredbo each year featuring commentary by Darrell Eastlake
Michael Milton crashing through 200kmh on one leg in speed snow skiing.

:)

86/87 I think. The highlights are on YouTube somewhere.

They showed this on Foxtel today in the innings break during the Tas v Qld OD match.

Some of the worst captaincy and bowling you will ever see. Deserved to lose.

in no order

* Cathy Freemans gold at the 2000 olympics
* Suprised no one has brought this up but Tubby Taylors 334*. i remember listening to it, drinking beers in a spa
* Steve Waughs 4 in Sydney
* Darren Jarmans last quarter in 1997
* Shaun Rehns effort the week before
* 1973 SANFL GF - 39 year drought
* Dermott Brereton's efforts in the 1989 GF
* Likewise Gary Ablett in the same game
* I reckon it was 1993ish but it was Essendon v Geelong - Paul Salmon kicked 10, Gary Ablett kicked 14
* Andrew Mcleods goal in his second game against Hawthorn in 1996
* Glenelg 49.23 against Centrals - no one has come close since

thats it for now. if i remember i'll add them

Sportsmanship:
Taana Umaga, All Blacks Captain, stopping to ensure the Welsh Rugby Captain (who I can't remember his name is now) hadn't swallowed his tongue and then putting him in the recovery position after being poleaxed by one of the All Black wingers. The game went on around them, I thought an outstanding sportsmanship moment.
Rod Marsh behind the stumps shaking his head, gesturing "no don't do it" and then refusing to take the ball in the Underarm Bowling Incident.

Adversity:
Tommy Smith and John Carlos Black Power salute in 1968.
Jesse Owens gold in Berlin.

Sport:
There are too many so I'll go for "best feeling at a sporting event" - looking around at the half a million strong crowd at the Indianapolis 500. "Best motorsport people seen live" - Joe Amato (Top Fuel) and John Force (Funnycar) New Jersey circa 1996. "Best sportsperson seen live" - Jonah Lomu". "Best team seen live" - New Zealand All Blacks, Auckland 2005. OK this is biased, I know.

McKechnie hit it so he was never in aposition to "take the ball" ball anyway, and BTW Doug Walters proved that you could hit a six off a grubber the next day...

Don't blame us the Dumb F*** ex All Black couldn't work it out and cost his team the game.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Just remembered Michael Bevan hitting a four off the last ball to win that ODI for Australia (at the SCG I think). Not quite "inspiring" but certainly a great moment.
