great icebreaker!!!

groucho marx used to do that except for a slight difference (because of tv in the 1950-1960's) but the bet was 'i bet you $1.00 i can kiss your girlfriend/wife & you wont see it' & offcourse the boyfriend/husband saw it & groucho would say 'you saw me kiss her ?' the reply was 'yes' then groucho would say 'here is your dollar'

i've got this on tape from the show 'you bet your life' it was done on numerous times

Can't imagine why it wouldn't

Perfect example (and oh so true) yesterday, home alone, wandered up to a local cafe for lunch. I hear a female voice as i am looking at the menu say "mind if I share your table" looked up and there stands a woman 10 years my junior, very very glam, my type tall, slim and with a smile. Sure sit down. Waiter comes over and we order and she says split it, so ok!

Then I thought, the cafe wasnt full when I walked in so look around. Plenty of empty tables? We converse a lot, lunch turns into coffee then drinks, then the old can I see you again line......story to be continued.

By the way, I paid after all I am a gentleman. We have spoken 7 times by phone since.....and are having dinner tomorrow night.

about a coffee or something to eat?'
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.
