I honestly believed the booing was because of a general dislike to his 'sooking' about being booed, from there it grew legs like anytime your mate takes offence to a jibe

My thoughts on that may or may not be wrong

This meme though is nothing but a racial jibe in an attempt to stir the issue again

The booing was racist. The meme is funny.

Animalisation remains a malicious and effective instrument of such a form of desocialisation and dehumanisation. Simianisation is a version of this strategy, which historically manifested a lethal combination of sexism and racism.

Hang on, so Wedgie, who I think we all know has aboriginal ancestry, says the gorilla memes fine, but Q, who is a smart man, and whos opinion I respect says its dehumanisation and is in fact racist.

No wonder us white c**ts keep getting in shit. The people getting offended don't even know the rules.

For me the booing had different levels with many people booing for different reasons, imho the majority weren't booing because he was aboriginal (no doubt there were some who were)

This meme imho is straight out racism and not even close to being funny

I'm aboriginal, and I didn't appreciate the meme - nor did I find it funny, and I know plenty of others who didn't either.

Not to mention, why is there or was there any need whatsoever to even bring up Adam Goodes again and make the meme?! All that crap last year, and people have finally moved on and left it, and then suddenly some spud thinks it's funny to reignite the whole Anti-Goodes fire again!

Once again reading yesterday in comments all these people regurgitating the same crap from 12 months ago about Goodes being a flog and they hate him for this reason and that reason etc. etc etc... the bloke has been ******* retired since last year!! Leave it alone already FFS!!

I agree the meme was racist and not even the slightest bit funny.

But I did defend the fact last year, not everyone booing Goodesy was doing it because of his race.

Our two resident aboriginal activists have just contradicted each other.

If anyone honestly thinks that an aboriginal person - or any person of indigenous background with darker skin isn't going to get offended by being compared to an ape - an animal that humans are apparently evolved from - then you my friend are severely mistaken.

Wedgie IS aboriginal, and he said it was fine, and even funny. (not dark skinned though)

This is what I'm saying.

No we haven't . Just because someone doesn't appreciate something and another finds something funny just means they're different.
You say you agree with him that it's racist but nowhere did he say it was racist. That's a contradiction.
I found the booing downright racist, I find the meme satirical, a pisstake of racists if anything.
Memes and cartoons especially when satire is involved can be taken various ways.

His whole post actually says it was racist, and explains why.
I found the booing satirical, and the meme downright racist.

Also Wedgie, back when the whole thing blew up last year, you kept saying racism is in the eye of the subject. So if someone found something said about them racist, it was.

Now you've said the meme was fine and funny, but Zartan, who is aboriginal, finds it offensive.

You're a racist and as bad as the people booing.

I find it hard to believe everyone who booed Goodes last year did so for racists reasons, I'd like to think humanity hasn't stooped that low and perhaps I'm misguided there, perhaps we have.

I find it just as hard to believe the meme could be found funny by anyone, of colour or otherwise. It's out and out disgusting.

Boos started off being based on the fact the bloke is a pillock who milks frees
Boos turned into a mob mentally for people doing it for laughs
Boos were never racist although no doubt some used it as an excuse to boo for no other reason
The meme was one of the most racist things I have seen on social media
