I've often wondered what the hell the bloke was doing when he discovered you could get milk from a cow and drink it, did he get caught doing something he shouldn't have been doing and tried to find a viable excuse or was he just a sicko?

I've wondered how they get teflon to stick to the fry pan.

Don't get me started on the double coated teflon pans!

It's non-stick, yet stuck to another layer of non-stick coating. AMAZING!

Answer: Teflon has a melting point of IIRC about 330 degrees. Hence if they melt the Teflon and then dip the pan into it, and let it dry you will be left with a "Teflon" covering.

As it is near impossible to cook at such high temperatures ( oil starts smoking at about 200 degrees ) it is pretty safe to say it isn't going to come off.

However that's why they usually say hand wash and don't use the dishwasher, as well as don't use in a oven over certain temperatures....

Why do councils continue to plant trees so close to footpaths and the edge of the kerb?
All it does as the trees grow is stuff up the footpath and kerbing which then needs to be replaced, they are also a danger to some drivers who can't keep their vehicle on the road.
Councils obviously have too much money and not enough other important issues to spend it on.

If that's the case, then the pedestrians are in trouble without them :)
