The old Sam's Disco at the Norwood Footy club..
Now we are talking....

I wasn't one for the night life when I was a student, and then after graduating I was too busy.
I'd met my first wife at Uni and we spent our time together when not studying.

But my second wife, to pay her way through Uni in the early to mid-70s before we met, used to run the sound systems for the Lion Disco and the Redlegs Disco, and mix for bands.
She was also part of the tech. crew for the Meadows pop festival, and later turned down a job on the tech. crew for KUSH, after she mixed for them at the Lion, on the Lion's gear, when their equipment blew up.

you serious! im 21 and the cheapest ive paid for a beer is about $3 at happy hour.. things change

Happy Hour(s) at The Lakes we used to get jugs of beer for $3 or jugs of spirit + mix for $7, ahh the good old days

Im not that old and I remember $2 pints at The Hilton on Friday nights, couple that with the *ahem* entertainment and a good night was had by all...I think.
