No it's not, you can get San Miguel in most spots ( I rate this pretty highly ) and some places will have Heineken.

Is Bin Tang any good? Not particularly, I wouldn't buy it here, but it suits the climate and it didn't give me any hangovers or headaches etc.

While you're there a sunset dinner in Jimbaran Bay, fresh seafood, sunset, cold beer, feet in the sand....the highlight of my trip.

When I was there in August we stayed at an All Inclusive resort that only had Bali Hai as a beer option. I ended up going to the mini mart and buying Bintang even though all the piss was free in the resort.

The trip or the dinner? ;)

The trip with Mrs Boon and Miss Boon was around $4000 for 10 days with flights, accommodation and spending money.

Get up to the volcano district in Bali, the main coast in and around Kuta, Seminyak, Legian is now no different to a shopping precinct on the gold coast, sadly. Except more bogans, if possible.

Nusa Dua for a resort type stay would be my preference.

... and I am sorry, Jimbaran is overrated and a bit of a tourist trap, if you haven't been by all means check it out but do your research and don't trust the taxi drivers! Some very average spots down there.

Probably.

It's got a bad reputation but I love it. You get out of it what you want.

A cultural awakening experience? - sure

Yeah I understand like everywhere, you can go to certain areas for certain tastes, but going to Bali doesn't appeal to me for some reason. Not saying it shouldn't for everyone else though.

The best comparison I have heard to date Bali Vs Thailand... at least in Thailand, they smile when they take your money.
1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015.... And don't you forget it!
