Valleys_Virgin... Now didn't she whack a hornets nest a couple of times down the bay!

Bozo & Power brought about the creation of this site almost on their own, too - whilst it was a different kind of influence, I reckon it earns them a place on the list.

Maybe there needs to be a separate list for the most controversial characters, which could include the likes of

-
T-Shirt
Jar Man Out (and previous aliases)
Phil_G
The Bonehenge family
etc...

Also, should Biggs get a guernsey in the first list?

The Bonehenges were an odd family...

Nevstradamus, a gun at footy tipping - kept tipping the dogs to lose from about round 10 onwards - they never lost a game until the next season.

LOL Im a quiet achiever mate ... But will happily accept beer over accolade mate!
:D

I was actually a late starter on these boards, well FootySA anyway, probably didn't join up until it had been running for about 2 years.

Diss is one well worth a thought for addition to the list though mate.

As a neutral in most of them, I have to admite he made for some excellent conversations on FootySA.

On the "good guys" list I would add Squawk and all the other volunteers (most are probably on there already) that gave so much of their own time and worked for so long to put our gorgeous new web site together :D

Id have smithy on there!
My SANFL forum days started on Bigfooty where we had a good group of people and met occasionally for piss ups.
I shouldn't do this as my memory is shot but I can remember Macca, Dogwatcher, Blues Girl, Jimmy, Barto, Dogsbody, Leaping Lindner, Uncle Steve (Pseudo). Probably a lot more I met in those days too.
As Bigfooty progressed into a wankerzone most of us moved onto Footysa and then onto here.
Met REB online in the very late 90s or very early 00s before I even came across Bigfooty, on the ABC sports forums where my online "career" started.
My interest in websites actually began on the ABC forums, we sporting forumists were always impressed with the way the geeks on the science forum change their text colours and showed pics so I taught myself HTML, the rest is history. :D

Wow - isn't this a lot of backslappin' kids! What inspired this little w*nkfest? I might as well toss some mentions in too ;)

I remember meeting Wedgie and co at Prossie one day. Who was that person who did the seagull call all the time??? The famous day in which BPRB's name came about....

Also met Bulldog Pommy (still got to sort out those DVDs mate!) several years back and keep in touch with him.

We can't forget PhilH either! Good bloke to have a beer with before the GF.

There were also a couple of other Doggies fans I met - Jerome (who I bump into at gigs and footy quite regularly) and another one whose name escapes me...(I'll post it when I remember).

As for influence - I know some will laugh and deride this, but there are a couple of Centrals blokes that shouldn't be forgotten. As far as match day photos and write-ups go they've done a heck of a lot for the CDFC web presence. They've also started up their own SANFL site ;)

Big Footy meh....

PhilH would have to make the top 20... hasn't he been the one who has compiled stats each week for a number of years which has been used on footysa and safooty as well as won a media award for writing an article on the pokies on footysa a few years ago?

I came across footysa through a google search in 2004. Had never used an online forum before then. My working productivity has waned as a result, but my interest in SANFL is at an all time high!
