No,not the moving tribute to our fallen heroes, but the feeling you get when your post is the last in 2 or 3 or more pages of discussion. It makes me wonder, and not just for my own interests, but, what dictates the life of a thread,in your opinion?

I enjoy reading the 'last post' of a thread a few days later, trying to work out why none of us had any comeback/response.

Because I can answer about three of the Quiz questions that are posted, and then I have to check out, feeling like a dunce.

Sometimes, the only way to continue a topic is for fatalberton to post a random pic of some sort. (Cue fatalberton) ;)

I don't think the options in sorting out topics includes that. But it does remind me of the famous challenge laid out by fatal himself to have all the latest replied forum topics on FootySA "last post by fatalberton" - all 50 of them.

I did it once, and I reakon some else did, too.

Yeah I have wondered what makes a thread stop .... :D

I can't speak for anyone else but I stop once I feel I have said my piece or I have argued the point a couple of times and its clear I won't convince the other person

Who will have the last post in this thread????

That would have to be done for each of the boards that appear on the index - one topic for each board, and I think I'd need to try that at 2 am or a similar time. ;)
