One for the scepticals....

Anything!

One for the scepticals....

Postby Footy Chick » Tue Dec 11, 2007 2:36 pm

I've just come back from my 2nd trip to Tassie in as many months. Whilst in Launceston I went on a "ghost tour" not because I particularly believe in ghosts, but more for the historical walk etc...

on the tour they said we should take as many random photos as possible because you never know what you might snap. So I took lots of photos and was rather surprised by what I saw.

You're about to see two photos.

The first photo is just unexpainable.... no its not double exposure, the rest of the photo is as clear as day (so to speak...) and the shape of the person is totally different...

The 2nd one is of what used to be a manor where (to cut a long story short)2 servants were murdered and is now a day spa (of all things). In daylight, this building is totally cream in colour.. the tour guides said that due to the bad spirits still in the building, it sometimes looks red in colour when photographed...

Whaddya reckon???

3 people in the middle ...

1. Chick looks scared bootless clutching onto her boyfriend

2. Chick in coat behind them looks like something from the Blair Witch Project

3. Bloke with beard pondering ... "Wonder how much longer before I can hit a pub?"

I reckon no. 3 is more likely pondering "would anyone notice if I just went to the pub now?"

or

"who's this chick in the penguin shirt, taking photos and asking everyone if they need any strapping?"

when the other members of the group took a photo of Falcon Chick, they all noticed an asterisk appeared to be magically floating above her head...

No.1 looks like a duplication of the outline of the person immediately in front of it with a halo effect.
No. 2 Underexposure can do funny things to colour in low light conditions with digital cameras - that would explain the visible camera shake too.

Scepticism Rules OK?

PS; What make of camera is it a Fuji?

No, its a Sony.... why does the outline look like its arms are crossed then?? Did I forget to mention that all the lights were off in the house in the first photo? Look at the window on the far right...

FC Have you contacted the people that do the tour with copies of the photos? They may have had similiar experiences with others on previous tours. Also I notice there is a couple of orbs in the first photo.

I don't see crossed arms. Perception is a funny thing. I asked the make because Fuji have a rep for doing odd things to colour in low light. Mines a Sony too.

Is the figure appearing on other shots - I wondered about a damaged sensor. No I really don't believe in ghosts, spirits, fairies, etc., or even souls.

Theres also some sort of superimposed image (a face) on the girl in the green bandana on the right hand side. Some sort of digital camera artifact I would say. I don't believe in anything "paranormal" and am pretty much an atheist. Kapunda has the reputation of being the most haunted place in Australia, and the cellar of the North Kapunda Hotel (now Sir Sydney Kidman) the most haunted according to self styled "experts", back in the 60s I used to play with the publican's kids in those cellars. Guess what? No ghosts, and I was bought up in a superstitious Irish catholic backbround, educated by Irish Dominican nuns.

There is also a superimposed image above the girl with the green bandana, actually looks a lot
like the brow and eye line of said girl. Then if you look at the couple hanging onto each other for dear life you can see some sort of double exposure, and the guy thinking about the pub, if
you look at the emblem on his shirt, a replica appears just a couple of centimeters to the right.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
