Who Is Responsible?

For the debacle that exists on North Tce, & the intersection of King William St & North Tce.
Lanes have been re-aligned due to the tram- but guess what?
It is left to gusswork where you end up!
Whoever is responsible for the management of traffic needs to address the intersection for starters.
How about removing parking spaces on King William St to counter the loss of the lane of traffic due to the tram (same for North Tce between KW St & Uni SA).
I have always been for the Tram extension, but I believe they have f**ked up by not re-assessing the lane structure as impacted by the tram.
And FFS, do we need to pedestrian crossings within 20m of each other?
It looks like we need to employ an expensive consultant frim to come up with a solution (which will be over analysed & work no better), when they could give me $50K, & I would come up with a sensible & workable solution.
Again, Adelaide is seen to be doing something half-assed.

The people who wanted the bloody tram extended in the first place.

c'mon Wedgie, you can do better than that.
The tram is here to stay, it's the traffic management that needs to be addressed.

If traffic management needs to be addressed they should get rid of the tram extension.
Might as well as completely close down North Terrace and most of King Williams St now as they're completely useless now.

Do you drive with your eyes closed?
Block off the intersection for 30 mins tomorrow Locky, & have a look at it.

i think we should have trams going to & through all suburbs (apart from where the trains go) rather than buses, oh hang on a minute we used to have them & the government of the day stopped it

but with rising petrol costs surely in the long run getting the trams back on would be a lot cheaper as i said in the long run, it would also be better for the enviroment

Long run? It would be a bloody long run on a tram to Elizabeth or Noarlunga mate! Those things are slow.
I know, I've got a great idea. Let's lay a concrete track for buses and make it reversible so all the peak hour buses can have a free run into and out of Adelaide....

Couldn't be any slower than the bloody trains... the only fast part of my homeward commute is the sprint from the arriving Gawler train on platform 9 to the departing Noarlunga train on platform 2 (at the FAR end), 'coz the Gawler train is habitually 15 minutes late... and then the bloody Noarlunga train is 5 minutes late to leave anyway, and then pauses at the end of the platform for another 5 minutes...

is it time to introduce a hook turn into Adelaide

You know you turn right from the left hand lane to avoid Trams.
