4 stitches later, I'm recovering but considering various recipes for "sausage with Thallium sauce dressing" as an offering to the beast.

Was the neighbour sunbathing with the kit off?

The neighbours were away on holiday and the wife's father was dropping in the look after and feed the dog - not well enough obviously...

The local hospital staff wantd me to make a report to council, but I'll give the beast another chance, I'll just not lean my rake against the fence now I know he can reach over it if he gets a good run up. I've had dogs of my own all my life and have trained them in Obedience Competition, and bred and shown some breeds. This one like the last one that bit me (40 years ago) is just nuts...
