I don't know any of the "truly elite" rod-r, but for me.. well I don't mind a
few drinks, and if I were going to be in Adelaide on the 8th I'd have happily joined you. I actually gave some thought to whether the timing would work as we had hoped to be in Adelaide for the Royal Show, but it looks like we can't fit that in either.
However, I assume what you were referring to was a comment I made a while ago that I rarely go into a pub. That doesn't mean I won't, or that I'm fussy about pubs being posh. It's just that most of ours friends gather at each others houses rather than pubs.
A few years ago I did go to the Port Dock with a mate and had a few of what was called "Old Preacher", I think. And in 2003 I had a few beers at a pub in Hahndorf with some Hells Angels I know. While visiting family in Adelaide we went to Hahndorf and my wife and I ran into one of the guys we knew when we lived there, and he rang a few mates and the Harleys rolled in. I think that was the last time I was at a pub.
