If you were to write a list of 'Life choices' you would like your children to make what would they be?

Dont smoke.
Dont do drugs.
Learn to save your money.

Generally:
1/ Do whatever you want so long as you don't hurt others.
Specifically:
2/ Travel
3/ Save money
4/ Learn an instrument and/or language.
5/ Never trust politicians.
6/ Don't barrack for St.Kilda. (This will get you written out the will ,quick& smart!)

Respect others and you yourself will be respected
Don't take shit from people
Don't rip people off
Don't smoke
Don't drink and drive
Show manners around the ladies unless she aint a lady
Always laugh at your own jokes in case no one else joins in, if you have a funny laugh people will laugh at that

Something happened the other day that really impressed me with a young group of teens,

I belong to the Salvation Army at Wynn Vale and a while ago one of the teenage girls there went with her school - Tindale Christian School at Salisbury over to Uganda for 6 weeks to work in the orphanage & mission over there. She has recently returned and a few Sundays ago we were given a report and a series of photos on how it all went.

I had never really heard of Tindale School before, yet was absolutley blown away that they would organise something like that that clearly impacted so heavilly on their students and that is something that I would love my own kids to be able to do if possible!

Bits of advice received from my parents I'll hand down...

1. If you drink too much, call us any time and we'll pick you up...
2. If you wish to smoke it's your decision, but remember dad likes cigars...
3. Stand up for the Elderly, and speak a little louder...
4. Swear when appropriate not just to be crude (this one skipped me  )
5. Be polite & courteous to people...
6. A gem from my Dad when I was about 17/18..."If she's got a big set, use both hands to change the 'channels' "
7. Smile...

1. Don't drink bad booze. If you're going to drink then stick to the good stuff, otherwise don't drink at all.

2. Do anything you have to for sex. You may end up looking ridiculous, but this is better than not getting laid.

3. Question everything. Do not however make the mistake of doing so out loud.

(not my advice unfortunately, but good advice nonetheless. Personally I agree with only two of the above. Which one I don't, I shall leave to your imaginations 8) )
