We're all doomed

If you find yourself feeling a bit stretched and under pressure next Wednesday (Thursday for you I think) it might just be because of this thing...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... lt-it.html

Suddenly find yourself being inexplicably drawn northwards then on behalf of our mad scientists...ooooop sorry about that

...and the dolphins asked me to say 'so long and thanks for all the fish'

Anyone who can get BBC Radio4 can follow the end of the world live...

Geeez...talk about an anti-climax

They only sent the beam 3km....just tried again...10km this time.

Our news reckon it will be about 2hrs before it goes the full 27km.

Meanwhile the best the presenter (male) can do is question the scientist about why there are no women in the control centre and what a cultural imbalance that is....

Haha....almost wish I was on something.

They've completed the first full circuit now....how boring was that?

Starting to think the 'experts' are on something though...one just explained the experiment as like trying to discover what mince pies are made of by smashing them together at almost the speed of light and examining the bits  duh

....and the reporters...they just asked someone if they found the theoretical partical they're looking for...after an hour and a half

You didn't miss much

A computer screen that didn't seem to do anything much and a few cheering boffins....you'd think after 30 years of planning and spending £5bn they could have had something to see

Oh crap, didn't bother to do some work yesterday because I thought I wouldn't be here today. Does nothing run on time anymore? Can't even end the world on schedule...

We may still be doomed - they don't actually collide the particles until mid October. I somehow think we will be safe though!

So long as I don't have to do it, I don't care what happens.
