Got home last night and Mrs Boon had curried sausages, mash and veg on the go. Made me feel like I'd walked into a moment in my childhood, the smells bringing back memories of being a kid, coming home to that smell after school. Magnificent.

Lots of onion, nice fresh Helga's bread with a (un)healthy slab of butter to soak up the last bit of sauce. Slept like a baby.

No doubt the misses will want a nice sourdough and entire tub of western star to accompany.

I've put myself back on a dinner ban.

I usually only eat if my son is home, he's been home most nights lately so with that, Easter and working long hours I'm a bit heavier.

Mrs Spargo did an 8 hour slow cooked pork shoulder in hoisin, shredded over udon noodles last night - spectacular. The whole house smells like an Asian restaurant.

Had a weekend at Operation Flinders near Yankaninna as one of several guests of the organisation due to my wife's partial involvement in fund raising for them. Charter flight for the group in a 12 seater plane, basic hut based accommodation, and loos and ablution block about a 100 metres from the accommodation. Interesting driving around the area, but a weekend was long enough for me - I'm a bit old for roughing it!

Isn't that just normal commerce?
Plenty of other big social media have been bought by the likes of Google and FB and then changed to suit the new owners. I dont see the difference.

I have no idea but I'd say anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 the accounts will disappear

Twitter's T&Cs say you cant set up a fake account
Hopefully he uses due diligence to make them guarantee that they have complied with their own T&Cs and the price is based upon their honesty.

IMO, there's more to this than meets the eye

As I suspected, Musk is giving it to them about fake accounts

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-61432483

Even if he doesn't buy it, it's going to expose Twitter big time.

[quote]Mr Musk has called for tests of random samples of Twitter users to identify bots.
He said "there is some chance it might be over 90% of daily active users".
Researchers have estimated that anywhere from 4% to 20% or more of the millions of Twitter profiles are fake.

Dont be holding Twitter shares!

Things that you rate!

Postby Jim05 » Wed May 18, 2022 7:46 pm

Driving down South Rd Edwardstown today (should be in the things that give you the shits thread) and pull up next a ute covered in Don Farrell stickers and placards at the intersection and some bloke crossing at the lights yells out “Hey Don shouldn’t you be home watching kiddie p0rn with your mate Bernie”
I was laughing that much that I missed the lights turning green and got a few toots for my troubles
