Might be putting on muscle mate, don't worry about the numbers, as long as you are happy with your results.

Bloody hope so, the arms feel fuller and the gut feels flatter so I don't think I'll bother weighing in, last time round I just ran, did shitloads of ab crunches and 2km of rowing every visit and I shed heaps of kilo's rapidly, I've been doing a lot of weights this time round so hopefully that is it.

Main thing is physically and mentally I'm in a great place for once.

Got it in one.

I purposely don't own a set, when my aim was to lose weight it made me have to go to the gym to check my progress.

Good little spot we found at late notice.

https://www.rivershackrentals.com.au/pr ... sunnyside/

The people that own it live next door and it's a pretty exclusive little stretch where there's only about 12 or so houses, it's very quiet and not the place you'd got with mates or a group to hit the suds and load up on tunes at night. There's 1 queen bed and a room with 2 bunks, so it's for a family or a couple to enjoy and it's a great spot to just do nothing. Given the load Mrs Boon is carrying at work with COVID / SA Health / Education Department regulations she needed a weekend of not much, this was the perfect spot.

I'd recommend it for just the two of you to go to, access isn't easy, it's down a private dirt road that is ok, but not for anything that rides low to the ground and the place is 10k's from Murray Bridge and 30k's from Mannum, so take what you need for a couple of nights and don't leave would be my suggestion.

For some reason the river water just doesn't have the same appeal to me, I'm a massive fan of the Yorkes and I wish I had of explored more of it when I was in a relationship, we did hit a few towns up with Vincent being my absolute favourite.

Seeing people post photo's of Turton and the other surrounding places like the pods that I think you went to makes me wanna uproot for the weekend and go get some fresh sea air.

For sure, I'd rather be swimming at Turton or Marion Bay, but there's nothing like waking up on the river when it's peaceful. I love the sound of waves rolling in but absolute silence bar some bird life on the river is gold. We looked at Yorkes at late notice so finding somewhere that wasn't 5 beds and sleeps 10 was hard work, all the smaller places seemed to be full and with it being a wedding anniversary we didn't want to be in a cabin in a caravan park. ;)

I had a swim, but very much dipped in slowly, paddled to be off the bottom and back to the landing, do that a few times and the core temperature drops enough to cool down.

Jnr G's cricket team chasing down 199 on Friday night.

Great effort considering the previous game they were all out for 29!

I'm on the lookout for a kayak, the peaceful waters of the Yorkes is very appealing, as is the chilli prawns of Turton I keep hearing about.

If you go to Turton go to Flahertys beach about 5 mile away.
Recently voted 4th best beach in Australia.

I’ve been to many beaches and this would be my favourite.
No shops, no houses, Nothing nearby
Just Clear waters and clean sand.

im off the alcohol for a while now...…………..

Massive Saturday night has definitely got the better of me..to old to be playing drinking games in a pub tll close.

Essentially we all added 5 songs to a spotify playlist (was around 25 of us there) then shuffle played the list...…...a phone alarm was set for 8:00, 8:15, 8:30, 8:45 etc from 8pm til 12pm and if your song was on when the alarm went of you had to skull your drink by the time song finished or else had to have a shot of the groups choice. Too bad if the alarm went off at the end of your song.

Had to skull with 3 of my songs plus everything else we drank and I was a very sick boy yesterday..
