If anyone is experiencing heel pain ( or first step pain ) associated with plantar fascia then I highly recommend visiting Adelaide Heel Pain Clinic up on Melbourne St, North Adelaide.

I'm three sessions into a 6 session treatment plan and have noticed a discernible improvement already. The shock therapy isn't unpleasant, probably about a 4-5 / 10 on the pain scale and I've stuck to my stretches and exercises to help the treatment.

With no private health the initial consult + treatment was $70, the treatments are $60 each time. I've got some orthotics so I don't need a new set, I just need to wear the ones I have, new ones are $500.

For the first time in several months I can again walk on my heel and the pain I feel first thing in the morning has gone from a 6-7 / 10 down to a 3-4 / 10.

I can highly recommend this service and who knows, you might even see @Spargo along there if you're lucky.

i have been seeing these guys for a couple of years now and can vouch that they are amazing.

how far have they wound up the shock intensity...and have you had the joy of it on the back of the heel where the achilles’ tendon joins the bone!

Not sure on intensity, tomorrow is session 4 so should be winding it up now.

And yes, that's the "root" of my problem, right on the arse end of the heel but the worst part is up in the arch, that is the nastiest bit for me.

This should be in the Things that give you the shits as my missus has flogged mine for work during the day and it leaves me on a shitty lounge chair which is shocking for my back and has my knees up around my ears.
She is working though so fair enough but I'm looking forward to when the chair she ordered at Officeworks last week gets here.

She’s got the chair and your knees are around your ears?

In a world of misery atm I had some great news yesterday, my lad had his monthly MRI scan on Tuesday to be told the following day that his progress has been phenomenal, to the point that they have said he doesn't need anymore of them unless we see any signs of concern.

Cheers mate, it's amazing what a strong will can do, it was definitely very pleasing to hear as there are some things that I've noticed just aren't quite right yet.

We've been extra vigilant through the CV and he's been cool with it despite not being an inside homebody type lad.
