Last day of work today before the Xmas shutdown for 2 weeks (Don't rate being casual and going without pay for the 2 weeks but I do love Xmas shutdown time)
Going to see Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker tonight. I don't have high expections if it but it does have alot of work today making up for The Last Jedi which was rubbish.
Our A grades first game at home tomorrow on our new stick down matting, one dayer against a good rival. Matting was put down a fortnight ago, finally no more rolling out the f**king mats anymore!

Being involved in a good company. Finally.

Flown over to Perth for a 2020 Strategy Day. Flew in Wednesday, all day at Mandoon Winery yesterday, food and wine on tap.

Worked a few hours in the Perth office this morning.

Had my personal Performance Review. Basically killing it.

Then beers, burgers, cricket and frisbee with the team here.

Out to the work function tonight at a local brewery.

Back home tomorrow.

Work lifes good.

Went to catch the tram to surfers when I asked a patient having a durry which platform takes me there, he told me and then we had a brief chat where I mentioned my intentions to go to the pub I like to have a beer and a punt,

He then says “Bro, just go over to that intersection, cross the road and the Parkwood Tavern is right there”
$6 tooheys new pints and a great betting set up, I was loving life for a while.

DHL. Ordered some gear from Scotland online on Wednesday.
Got to my place today.
Ironically I also ordered some stuff from Canberra on the same day but they use Australia Post. Could be weeks.

Have said it on here the last few years, it is a disgrace that they pay the ESL. I would rather pay more and let them off paying and I suspect most other people would think this is the right thing to do,

But if they don’t own a house they don’t prosper, nice gesture though.

I’d sooner see them get reduced tax or interest rates, I know the word is “volunteer” but there needs to be some reward for their heroic efforts.

I’m going to look into becoming a volunteer when we return, Dalkeith CFS isn’t far from home and Friday opened my eyes up.

Yes good point. Perhaps a credit or something that could be used against govt charges like car rego (most would own a car).
