Treasure island Biggera Waters. Right next to Harbour Town. Got everything needed to keep the kids happy - 3 pools (our cabin is 10m away from 1 of the 3 pools), Waterpark, jumpy pillow, basketball court, tennis court, mini golf, Kid's Club, pedal karts and plenty of room to fang round on their scooters. For dad there is cold beer, good tucker, quieter kids and Harbour Town for a look at the local "sights".

Has the GC livened up in recent years?
Went there in early 90s and again around 2005 and it was boring as bat shit, much prefer the Sunshine Coast.
However when I went to the GC around 83 the place was rocking, seems to be living in the past as far as an experience goes.

To be honest I don't really know, we only come up here for the theme parks, Currumbin and chilling out with a few frothies (the last part just for me). Ticks all the boxes for us. One thing I have noticed on all of out trips up here is how much easier it is to get around and how much less arseholes are on the roads.

When were stayed at Beyond in Khao Lak the manager ( Robert, smooth Swiss chap ) said they put up the "Full house" sign when any Russions enquire about staying there, he openly stated he doesn't want them.
