Was it an edit or an accidental hit on the edit button as he squinted those red tin affected eyes to focus...[emoji16]

I was driving to work yesterday annoyed that it was Monday, annoyed that a main road I journey on was closed so I had a significant detour, annoyed that I tried to cut some time off my journey but ended up having to wait for a freight train with about 80 carriages on it.

All these annoyances came to an end when I passed a dude on the side of the road at the BP Bolivar, he was holding a small hand written sign which read "PLEASE HIRE ME".

As I found out during the day, he had been there for over a week, getting out there at 5am regardless of weather, what a champion, here I am whinging about going to work, this bloke just wants to go to work.

Anyway, the least I could do was to make a bigger clearer sign for him, I went to drop it off to him this morning and get some details to see if our factory manager could help him out, he wasn't there though, hopefully someone employed him.

You're rejoicing now - and that's what I did when they did the Park Tce train underpass - but the traffic isn't actually that much different, it still banks up over the bridge every morning.

There's just too much traffic on our roads, for our poorly designed roads to handle.

I came to that conclusion on Friday when I had 90 minutes to get from Gepps Cross to Gawler, to Craigmore to Para Hills and then Prospect Oval, it was seemingly easy in my head, a few bits of rain and it became damn near impossible.

Oaklands will improve, trust me.
It will always be a high traffic area but instead of taking 30 minutes to move 100m during peak hour, it might take 15 minutes with the train line no longer interfering.

I travel through there every morning around 7.30am and the only issue right now is the Pedestrian crossing on the Northern side, but never wait longer than 2-3 minutes. What might become an issue is the new set of lights being installed on the corner of Diagonal and Dunrobin roads.

There's little doubt the route traveled impacts upon how much traffic you encounter.

Port Road/Park Tce, Fullarton/Glen Osmond, Marion/Sturt, Diagonal/Morphett/Sturt(Oaklands), if you encounter those (or several others) it's likely there will be congestion.

My commute is a breeze. :D

I wonder if they will put lights at the other end of Dunrobin where it meets Brighton Road.

I've always thought Brighton Road needs more traffic lights.

There are 14 sets of traffic lights on Brighton Road from Anzac Highway to the start of cement hill.
FOURTEEN!!!
Now some arseclown wants to put them at Dunrobin Rd too? Not to mention those morons that want them on the corner of Edwards Street.
F#ck off!

You can fix that Spargo, just ram down one set per day in your van, problem solved in a fortnight.
