My old man had a major heart attack yesterday, was out at a dance with my step-Mum, she's a 40 year nurse. He said he was feeling crook so went and got a brandy and dry as he does, she went to check on him and he'd started the sweats, she knew exactly what was happening. They were at the Lakes, she loaded him in the car and busted some red lights on the way to the hospital, he was in all sorts when they got there. They stabilized him and will put a stent in this afternoon. Surgeon said her actions saved him. Not out of the woods but as good as can be.

He said to my brother, "Got the sweats, chest went tight, figured I was f*cked".

Yikes, the fines will be worth it for him to pull through. He was with the best possible person at the time.

Lucky man.

Very lucky man when I read the post the first time thinking his wife was a 40 year old nurse ;)

My old boy had a major one 9 years ago, mum got home just in time, frightened the absolute shit out of him. Took him a few years to get back to his normal self.

Son getting a High Distinction in his major assignment in his first year at Uni that he and I had a few face time chats on to discuss on Australian Society changes during the 1960s

That's not what I rate though, I rate that his got the HD quoting a Midnight Oil song:

And lawns were always Victa neat
Whilst Menzies fawned at royal fleet do you remember?

Got a special comment from the lecturer to quoting that song

The Oils, making a difference in academia!!

3 massive days of presentations in Perth, 14 customers, 3 consulting engineers and countless stupidly tight parking spaces that cost a packet to stay in for 30 minutes...but, Mrs Boon lands in 45 minutes and we head down to Busselton tomorrow then back to via Fremantle on Saturday and then to Crown for 3 nights, the footy with a couple of Perth based mates Sunday, lunch Monday with my good mate who I have documented his challenges over the years on here and back home Tuesday. Some good work feedback, some good leads and now some RnR with the Mrs.

Gear.

Great part of the world.
Not a big fan of Perth but I love Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River and Freo. Awesome spots that are hugely underrated. Enjoy mate.
PS Bloody long walk up the Busselton jetty and back!
