I was told years ago that holding your car remote against your adams apple (sorry ladies, this one is for the fellas) will extend its range. I tried it this morning and it actually does work!

Thinking of your topic title, had a chuckle about this one the other day - have you ever been to a garage sale that doesn't have an Ab Sculptor somewhere among it? ;)
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Here's a quirky one, which may actually help everyone who owns a cat, and get under the skin of any animal lib folk out there...

Tying a footy sock/tea towel or something of similar ilk around the midriff of a cat (eg between the front legs and back legs-firmly but not super tight) renders them almost totally immobile. They can maybe walk 2 or 3 steps and then lay down.

A godsend when you are trying to get them to take worming paste/tablets etc...
