Just got ours done thru, DIY flat pack kitchens, obviously we did the assembly ourselves, which was a bit of fiddling around, but generally it's pretty decent & we are happy with the quality.
You also need to get your own appliances.

I've been helping a friend with a Kaboodle DIY kit from Bunnings.
Looking good and relatively inexpensive.

Thoughts from the family please on window tinting for homes.

My bedrooms are all west facing and thought I'd try tinting before going to the expense of shutters.

Does anyone have home window tinting and do you think it really makes that much of a difference?

I do on my East facing windows. I have shutters on the western ones. I think it helps but not as good as awnings or shutters obviously

when it's 40+ and I get afternoon sun straight through the windows, no dodgy hush glass is going to do the job on it's own.

I was told it was the same as double glazing, because it was going to cost too much to get the other windows in from interstate, why am I not surprised I was jipped?

Yeah forgot about this myself.

A big one......150 square metres.
100 inside and 50 outside.

I'm still paying for it!

Anyone done a full bathroom Reno recently?
We have a 2.3m x 3.2m bathroom( not small but certainly not big) and have had 2 quotes for it.
Everything from demo to completion.
One was $25k the other $19,500.

Booney I see you did one a couple of years ago, what did you pay if you don’t mind me asking?

I was hoping to get it all done around $15k but looks like I’m dreaming.......

Are you ripping up the floor and drains? Is the builder providing temporary facilities?

Ripping up the tiles and re-screed the floor before waterproofing floor and walls.
No plumbing required except new T-pieces to shower and bath plus new tapware.
All new Bath, shower and vanity going back where the old ones lived.

We have 2 bathrooms so don’t need temporary facilities.
Also getting a new Gyprock ceiling with downlights and ceiling fan.
