BANKS lack of confidentiality

BANKS:

Today I went to the bank to make a large withdrawal.
In recent times banks have recindered forms for
deposits and withdraws.
I had to ask aloud for my amount for all to hear behind me.
Preceding me were a mother and daughter who both withdrew
$5,000 each from thier accounts.

That in my opinion this is poor security and confidentiality.

In my particular bank you can hear clearly all coversations
between customers/bank staff.

You make an excellent point. You never know who may be waiting nearby who may not have honourable intentions :( I made an international transaction a few months ago, only to get a call from the bank (ANZ) saying they had made a mistake and it didn't go through and that if I wanted to proceed with the transaction it would cost me $35 for their mistake. The phone nearly melted in my hands and I let forth a torrent of "fs" and "cs", the manager on the other end was rather taken aback, but more so when I threatened to close all of our accounts, suddenly all fees were waived. I then suggested that the F*ckwit who served me on the previous day be given a rocket for his incompetance, turns out it was the manager I was taking to on the phone who was filling in because of being short staffed :D I have found with banks that if you are a good customer (ie. they are are making heaps from you) and you a very rude, fees are often waived. Unfortunately I think the polite people pay all the fees, life isn't fair :D

Well you could write the amount you want on a piece of paper and pass it discreetly to the teller, but they might take it the wrong way...
