Cougar or Black Douglas?

It's been so long since I've tried Cougar & cola I can't remember what it was like and I don't think I've ever had Black Douglas in my life. What do people suggest tastes best in pre-mix cans out of these two? I get so confused with all the bourbon/scotch/whiskey labels.

Get the Cougar, but NOT with Cola, get it with Dry. That sickley shit cola they all use spoils any spirits

I never did get mixing sprits and lolly water..
It suggests the drinker can't stand the flavour of the spirits and just want a kiddies drink that will get them drunk.
I agree with Ian, if you really want a mix, use something like a good Dry that is not so full of sugar to kill the flavour.
Otherwise get the best whisky you can afford and sip it, perhaps adding just a drop or two of pure water to bring out the flavour.
Oban or Dalwhinnie for me, or the proper aged Tullamore Dew from Eire if you can get it.
[There's plenty of the bottom end TD around but the good staff is rarely imported these days.]
Even Suntory Whisky is better than the rough American stuff.

I haven't tried Cougar and Dry before.. only Johnnie Walker and Dry. But the 'Dry' tastes a lot better than that cheapo sugarey cola crap they put in pre-mixes.

Well put. If you need to water down your booze with fizzy drinks to make it palatable then you're drinking the wrong stuff. Life is too short to drink bad booze. Either drink the good stuff, or don't drink at all.
Not much of a spirit drinker myself, but will happily enjoy an occasional nip of good single malt. Am quite fond of the Laphroaig. Goes down best with a single ice cube.

I once drove through the bottlo at my local to be approached by one of those "promotion girls". She offered me a sample of a new mix containing Tequila and passionfruit. Seeing the look on my faced she reassured me with --"oh,don't worry, you can't taste the tequila." I wound up the window.

Thanks for all the responses. I finally decided to go with neither and went for Highland scotch & cola in the big 440ml's for $5 more. Unless you're throwing them down I've found them alright in the past.

I've had that a few times.
My order of preference for Scotch - Oban, Dalwhinnie, Lagavulin, Macallan, Laphroig.
Rather different styles, so I usually have at least 3 of those 5 in the house - which 3 varies.

I have to agree with you on the list of single malts. Great scotch to drink neat, enjoy the flavours.
Out of those five i prefer the Lagavulin.
