I watched him everyday as a kid.

I even touched his fur at Woolies Findon when I was a big kid.

This is Terrible Channel 9.

Bad.

This is low.

You pay Sam Newman so much $$$ he can live a stupid Life.

But Poor Humphrey has to pay...?

Whats up?

I hear Humphrey is receiving mandatory sex counselling.
Apparently the moment the camera turns off he's chocka-block into his honey.
Nearly got into big trouble for continually getting his tongue stuck in jars.
Maybe that's why Jars moved to Perth.
I dunno, it's always the quiet ones.
:bear:

You wouldn't think $50k is a huge amount in the scheme of things for C9.

If you were rich, you buy it just to mount his head on the wall for a laugh. Hell of a conversation piece.

The footy show could make that in one episode through a sms 'competition' charged at the usual premium rates.

Eg - Which club is Humphrey B Bear most likely to coach next year?
or - "What advice did Humphrey B Bear give to the North Melbourne Rooster before the rooster made it's screen debut?"

I can't believe the ABC haven't considered buying him. He and Fat Cat always suffered from the suspicion they were light entertainment rather than educational for kids, unlike say Sesame St or Play School. ABC should buy him up for their new kids channel on which he could be an absolute icon, they could make a more educationally rigorous show for him or just slot him in as a segment on Play School or one of their other shows. Then they could flog HBB dolls / DVDs etc in ABC Shops for ridiculous prices like they do their other stuff.
