Has anyone tried reading the Allen Carr method to quit smoking, I've tried to start reading the book, I've found it so friggin boring that I end up going out for a smoke to get away from it, does it get more interesting the further you read, has it worked for others?

I've read most of it, all up to the bit where it's time to extinguish (you can actually continue smoking through most of the early stuff).

I'm hoping get back to it shortly (once I get the book back).

It's really a literature form of Hypnotherapy I reckon ... The book is available in Audio format too mate, maybe that would be more your go?

Yeah, I've always gone by the theory "Why take 2 weeks to read the book when you can take 2 hours to watch the movie".

Have you quit yet or are you reading it because it was a best seller? ;)

How bizarre, the two things that stop me from being a fat pig, they are the only two things besides food that stop my hunger pains.

My old man went to a hypnotherapy session at Prospect Oval prob ten fifteen years ago now. Walked in with $50, came out and never touched a cigarette again. He went from a pack a day to nothing in the space of an hour.

If you smoke you will Die.

If you don't smoke you will Die.

But many years Later. ;)

Don't wait till you have had a heart attack like me.

Walking through the cardiac ward after my Triple By-Pass opperation opens your eyes.

I went Cold Turkey after that. I was a Tobacco Addict. I couldn't give up. Never Again.

I was a pack a day man, then met my to be wife. She didn't smoke but didn't mind it, I just got sick of going outside for a smoke when I could have been inside smoking something else instead

I quit cold turkey. No worries ! haven't had a smoke for 10 years !!
